Buying a first home can be a roller coaster ride. That’s something Ebi and Kelly Campbell know well. The young couple from Albany recently worked with CAP COM Licensed Mortgage Expert Eric Cruz to successfully navigate their own up-and-down search for a home. “Eric really knew his stuff. And, he knew what it was like to be a first-time homebuyer. When we talked, it felt like we had been friends for years,” Ebi said. The couple started with a Mortgage pre-approval meeting with Eric. The meeting included a financial analysis and FICO credit score calculation, giving the couple a realistic estimate of a Mortgage they could afford. “We didn’t really know how it worked and we didn’t want to bite off more than we could chew,” Ebi said. After being approved, the couple targeted a home on Avenue B in Albany and made a bid to buy it but the deal fell through. But, a few weeks later, another two-family home on the same street was put up for sale. CAP COM’s Mortgage Department stepped in to help get the deal done.
