Obituaries

BARRON, Aileen Cordelia

The family of Aileen Cordelia Barron is deeply saddened to announce her passing on June 8th at Langley Memorial Hospital. Aileen joins her husband, Fred, who passed away May 22, 1973, her brothers and sisters and many loved ones waiting for her in Heaven. One of seven children, Aileen Duplessis was born on November 21, 1914 in Edmonton, Alberta. Left behind in gratitude for their love and memories are her companion, Norman Peck (Langley), daughter, Lois Crawford (Port Coquitlam), sons Jack (Chilliwack) and Fred (Precy), White Rock, grandchildren Terry (Ray), Sharon (Bill), Brenda (Bradley), Cindy, John, Jean (Tom), Ron (Sachiko), Bob and Susan. 12 great grandchildren, Kimberlie, Kelly, Lindsey, Rebecca, Carleigh (waiting for Nannie in Heaven), Mark, Ashley, Amy, Tricia, Colleen, Johnsey, Brittany and 5 great-great grandchildren Evan, Colton, Brady, Karin, Craig and Kaleb. Aileen touched many lives and was a friend to all, especially her wonderful neighbours in Pineridge. Aileen was absolutely dedicated to her family and friends. Her door was always open and she made sure you always had something to eat. Aileen had a huge heart and reached out and touched so many; her hands were always held out to lift you up. Aileen loved to cook and sew, thoroughly enjoyed people and also, without question, enjoyed her HAPPY HOUR. Aileen was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her and will be missed by each and every one. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Coquitlam Foundation, PO Box 2, 1207 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam, BC, V3B 7Y3 for the Carleigh Rae LeClair Scholarship. We also would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at Langley Hospital, 2 South and 3 South – very nice girls there.
