ARE YOU OKAY? "Seventeen days before Nick and I were to move from Sydney to our new home in Canowindra, my young sister died in a plane crash. In the following two years, six very special people in my life died, I lost my job, and started my new business. In April this year I had an emotional breakdown where I was hospitalised for a couple of weeks. This experience helped me re-establish a routine and introduced me to new ways of recognising the signs of going down the dark path. One major positive outcome was the acceptance and understanding of many people in Canowindra, who approached me to share their stories and give their support." This is just one short part of one life of one person living in our town. Imagine how many tragedies and hardships everyone else in our community have had to overcome until now! Thankfully in Canowindra there are many avenues of support available, from our local doctors and hospital, to telephone and internet offerings. A small group of battlers have come together, combining their strength and knowledge of what it is like living with depression and anxiety, to coordinate an public information night. Details are still being finalised, however it will be designed to inform, entertain and dispel some myths about mental health. Canowindra Depression and Anxiety Awareness Group are pleased to announce that Angry Anderson will be attending an Information Night on Anxiety and Depression on Wednesday 30 October 2013. Further information will be published closer to that date.

Canowindra Country Women's Association www.canowindracwa.org WHY PASTURED EGGS? Gaskill Greens now stocks Wybalena Farm Pastured Eggs. Wybalena Farm adjoins Nangar National Park out on Nanami Lane Canowindra. Owners Natalie and Owen moved from Kenthurst in Sydney to Canowindra in September 2011 and have embraced the farming life ever since, which is evident in the quality of their pastured hens' eggs. Each day Natalie and Owen move the portable "Eggmobile", the hens' safe place to sleep and lay, to a fresh piece of pasture. As the hens scratch through and sanitize the cow pats, their own nutrient rich manure is left

to fertilize the paddocks. The hens get to pick fresh forage and delight in the vigorous insect activity. The chicken gets to express its full 'chickeness'. These energetic foragers happily scratch and peck their way around a genuine free range environment and are supplemented with a completely natural diet sourced from the local area. There are no pre mixed chemical concoctions or bland processed pellets, just pure whole grains and lucerne hay which produces the best eggs. The girls love it! Get your pastured eggs from Gaskill Greens today and taste the difference.

YOGA POSITION There was a fantastic response to yoga when it first started, however numbers have dwindled greatly over the last few weeks. We are fortunate to have a qualified teacher come here to teach but it takes commitment from everyone to keep it going. If you want Thursday evening classes to continue, but cannot commit to coming each week, the class will be a casual rate of $18. If you can commit to attending weekly, a five class pass valid for seven weeks is $85, or a Live entertainment 10 class pass valid for 12 weeks is $160. This is the same deal that Lyn offers at her studio in Orange, but we have the advantage pp available now at Canowindra Newsagency of no travel.
