American Girl Doll® Celebration

We will celebrate our favorite American Girl Dolls® (AGD) in this creative dramatic class using storytelling, songs, and movement. Students are encouraged to bring their AGD to class, but this is not required.

Dance Your Way to Broadway

In this session, students explore the Broadway style of dance by learning choreography to popular musicals. They also learn about the different jobs that make a Broadway show successful and create related props and signage.

Disney® Fun

In this camp, actors will use their creative instincts and explore storytelling through drama and creative roles. Throughout the week, campers will use their bodies and voices as they play games & sing songs about their favorite Disney® characters. Campers will make their own costumes and props.

The Drama Kids Experience

In this camp, campers will participate in a wide range of creative activities including speech, dramatic movement, improvisation, snippets and scene starters. In a fun filled atmosphere, our theater camps aim to give young people ongoing confidence, self-esteem, and skill in verbal communication. It’s a great camp experience for both shy and out-going campers.

Fantasy Adventures

In this camp, actors will use their creative instincts and explore storytelling through drama, role play and storytelling. Campers will use their bodies and voices to help tell stories through drama games and songs about their own favorite fantasy characters. All campers will make costumes and props.

Improv on the Go

Ages: 12-16

Do you enjoy theatre, acting, comedy, improvisation, and drama? In this camp, you will study the fundamentals and concepts of improvisation through exercise. You will work on being creative, spontaneous, shedding nerves and anxiety, connecting with peers, being brave, going with the flow, teamwork, and so many other important & fantastic skills.

The Little Mermaid

The classic story of a young mermaid, named Ariel who loves the world above the surface of the sea. She is willing to lose her voice when she falls in love with a young prince. Join Ariel, Ursula, Flounder, Sebastian and more as we learn songs, dances, and tell the beloved story.

Musical Theatre (in a Week)

Campers get the chance to take center stage in this popular theatre camp! Campers will work on their acting and singing skills while working with their peers to create a one-of-a-kind performance piece. Actors will perform a musical theatre revue based on songs and scenes from popular musicals.

Shazam & Friends

Join Shazam and his friends, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Cat Woman, and more in this adventure camp as the DC Superheroes solve the ‘Cannon School Playground Burglary’. A creative dramatics class using movement, sound, and acting activities to create an exciting theatrical experience.

Shakespeare: Outside the Box

‘If music be the food of love, play on’. This is the theme of Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ which we will set in 1969 – Woodstock. Music, laughter, and mayhem are part of this hilarious Shakespeare comedy of mistaken identities and tom foolery. Stage fighting, costumes, acting, and learning how to speak and understand the language of Shakespeare are all part of this summer camp experience.

Youth Rock Orchestra

Offered by: Davidson Violins, Inc.

Ages: 11-17

Cost: $400

This is not your average orchestra camp. Students will participate in rock orchestras, playing electric instruments, work with professional musicians, play challenging and fun music, learn to improvise, and become familiar with the modern technology driving the music industry. The Friday presentation will be held at 6 p.m., so students will stay to prepare for the concert from 4 to 6 p.m. on the last day.

Q. What if a camper has a medical appointment or needs to leave early?

A. We ask that you email the Camp Cannon office and let us know the date & time that the camper will be picked up, so that we can have the camper ready upon your arrival.
