Dear Members We’re excited to bring you our new and improved StarRewards loyalty program. You can now earn points across most transactions at the Club, including food and drinks and on health and wellness purchases such as your gym membership. Better still, you can now also use your points to redeem a far wider range of rewards. Check out the changes on the next page. We’ll keep adding new partners and options through the year to give you more choice for how you reward yourself. Importantly, you can earn points for yourself while still earning rewards for your favourite community partner through the Community Rewards program. Our other exciting development is the planned upgrades at the Yacht Club. We’re saying farewell to the Marquee and replacing this with a new al fresco dining area called ‘The Deck' at Snapper & Co. With help from our precinct partner the Canberra Yacht Club, we’ve also found space for indoor dining downstairs and will provide improved facilities on our existing licensed courtyard. Everything upstairs remains as is with the restaurant, bar, balcony and function spaces getting a spruce up and some new furniture. At the time of writing our plans are going to community consultation. The outcome of this consultation will guide us on when we stage the refurbishment works. Find out more about the planned changes on pages 8 and 9.

We’ve made the difficult decision to introduce tighter controls on our car parks. Unfortunately a small number of people are taking advantage of the free car parking we offer. From August, boom gates and parking stations will be installed at both Woden and Yacht Club. Members and guests using the Club's facilities will still be able to park for free, with your Membership card tracking purchases to automatically provide free passage. If you have not used your Membership card, simply show Reception your purchase receipt to gain complimentary parking. We acknowledge it may be cause for some frustration, but it will ultimately help to provide guaranteed complimentary parking for those who should rightly expect it. We will introduce similar systems to Tuggeranong and Jamison in 2022. Read more on pages 6 and 7. Finally, don’t forget to book in to one of our fabulous dinners. We have truffle dinners, wine dinners and even a 'Taste of the Tropics' dinner coming up. They are great nights out and excellent value, so do give one a try if you haven’t been before.

Car Park Upgrades We’re improving the car parks at Woden and the Yacht Club to provide more parking for our Members and guests. Over the next few months we'll be making some changes to car park access at our Woden and Yacht Club venues, with similar measures coming to Tuggeranong and Jamison next year. We'll continue to offer free parking to Members using the Club's facilities, while deterring those who use our car parks to go shopping or to work. Woden Our paid parking system is returning to Woden with a few changes. Free parking will be available for the first two hours of your stay – with a $20 fee for longer stays, or spend $10 or more in venue to receive complimentary parking.
Yacht Club Works have commenced on our car parks at the Yacht Club. We’re combining our two car parks into one, with one main entry and exit point. We’ll improve the line marking for ease of traffic, and install boom gates and CCTV cameras for your security. We’re also installing an Electric Vehicle charging station, to be powered by our new solar panels. Spend just $20 on food and beverages at the Yacht Club or Snapper & Co. to receive free passage.

Snapper & Co With the Yacht Club now closed in anticipation of refurbishment works, here's a preview of the new dining areas downstairs. If our plans are approved, you’ll soon be enjoying your fish and chips at Canberra’s most exciting destination with the launch of Snapper & Co. at the Yacht Club.
New shared options including charcuterie plates and cheese boards are sure to become favourites for lazy afternoons with friends.
Launched in 2014, Snapper has become one of Canberra’s most loved locations to enjoy delicious fresh fish and chips overlooking Lake Burley Griffin. With the increasing popularity, our little fish and chippery is getting a makeover to better service our customers.
The menu isn't the only thing we’re looking to change. Snapper & Co. takeaway on the lawns will continue as usual, while plated meals will be served in the licensed courtyard or in our new indoor dining area.
The plans will see the kitchen double in size, giving our Chefs the opportunity to add new products to the menu. Gourmet burgers and pizzas will join the lineup, and our seafood offerings will increase. 8
With the Marquee removed, we also welcome ‘The Deck’ at Snapper & Co. providing the full al fresco restaurant experience. Enjoy full table service in this new space, designed to take in the beautiful location while providing protection from the elements.

The Yacht Club Restaurant and function rooms will continue to operate as usual, along with the popular upstirs balcony. Canberra Yacht Club will also see upgraded facilities including new showers and change rooms as well as a new shop, office and ‘Sailor's Cabin’ as part of the project. Commencement and staging of the project is based on the Government approval process, so keep an eye out as we’ll post regular updates on our social media pages and through our weekly email newsletter to Members. 9

Not all women who are pregnant or parenting have access to safety, shelter, and a positive support network. Through the Community Rewards program, our Members assist Karinya House as they provide these women with essential services such as casework management, supported and transitional housing, and group support. Help Karinya House support local mothers by visiting cscc.com.au/rewards to nominate them as your preferred Community Rewards partner. An amalgamation of four local AFL clubs (the Hawks, Lions, Swans and Bulldogs) the Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Club (TVAFC) are big supporters of women in sport, and are open to players of all ages, abilities and experience levels. Our Community Rewards program provides much needed financial support to TVAFC, helping with the costs associated with maintaining teams in the local AFL competition, including uniforms, equipment and ground hire. By easing the strain of these costs, our Members help the TVAFC keep their focus on the field, and on their love of the game! Want to support the Tuggeranong Valley Australian Football Club? Nominate them as your preferred Community Rewards Partner today by visiting cscc.com.au/rewards

ACT Rescue and Foster
ACT Rescue and Foster (ARF) is a not-for-profit charity run entirely by volunteers, rescuing and rehoming dogs from pounds in Canberra and the surrounding region. Foster carers look after the dogs in their own homes until loving forever homes are found for them. Some dogs are adopted in a couple of weeks, while others may take many months, and some are so gorgeous that their carers fall in love with them and adopt them themselves. ARF carers love dogs and want to make it easy for their new owners, giving the dogs a head start with the best care possible. Funds raised through our Community Rewards program go directly towards improving the dogs' health and happiness such as vet fees, food, equipment and training. You can support the good work done by the team at ARF by nominating them as your Community Rewards Partner by visiting cscc.com.au/rewards
Thanks to you! A shout out and big thank you to all of our Members who chose a Community Rewards partner and came in for a meal during our Double Rewards Program. We’ve raised around $200,000 for our Community since March and we couldn’t have done it without you!
ARF! ARF! It's Ferdi!
Ferdi is one of over 3,000 dogs rescued by ARF over the last 20 years. Ferdi’s foster carer tells us that if we were to ask Ferdi what his ideal day would be, we can pretty much guarantee his answer would be, "Whatever involves you!" Ferdi loves to be with his people and just hang out – he really loves being a part of the family. A car addict, he is happy to go wherever you take him. He melts into pats and will give you a nudge to make sure that you know he is still there and waiting for more pats and cuddles. Ferdi’s ideal person would be someone who is home with him for most of the time, such as a retiree or someone who works from home, with access to both inside and outside areas so he can run around. Ferdi does have some significant separation anxiety and storm phobia that he is working through, so his new people will need to make an ongoing commitment to manage his needs. His new carer will need to be committed to helping Ferdi feel comfortable in his own skin.
For more information about Ferdi go to the ARF website at fosterdogs.org/dogs/ferdy 11
