Join Clara Amfo, Laura Jackson and Alice Levine as they host The BRIT Awards: Red Carpet bringing you all the latest gossip and exclusive interviews from all of the night’s performers, nominees and guest presenters, as they arrive for the star-studded event.
The BRIT Awards 2017 ITV1, 19.30 Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis host star-studded ceremony live from The O2, London. The show features performances from some of the biggest names in music including Robbie Williams, Emeli Sandé, Little Mix, Skepta, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars. Skepta and Little Mix lead the nominations with three each. David Bowie receives two posthumous nominations in British Male Solo Artist and Mastercard Album of the Year with Leonard Cohen receiving his first BRIT Award nomination in International Male Solo Artist Two nominations for The 1975, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Calvin Harris, James Arthur, Clean Bandit, Jonas Blue, Tinie Tempah and Coldplay. Sisters Beyoncé and Solange go head to head in International Female Solo Artist category 2017 will celebrate the Awards 37th show since its debut year in 1977 (which was followed by a short break of a couple of years). The BRIT Awards have established themselves as a global music institution that annually celebrates UK chart and commercial successes. Last year (2016) The BRITs celebrated an incredible night in British music with Adele picking up four Awards as well as giving a show stopping performance. The Awards raised an incredible £265k for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and The BRIT Trust from live performance downloads and streams from the ceremony. The BRIT Awards annually raises funds for The BRIT Trust charity, whose main beneficiaries are the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy and other selected charities. To date, over £16.8million has been raised for The BRIT Trust charity.

Surgeon Gabriel Weston has spent many years studying the workings of the human body. In this new series she introduces us to people from across the globe, individuals with the world’s most unique bodies. Using the latest technology and with the help of leading scientists, Dr Weston uncovers the secrets of their bodies and reveals what makes them unique. By studying the rarest of cases, scientists hope to develop the treatments and even cures of the future. In episode one, we meet seven year-old Virsaviya, who was born with her heart on the outside of her ribcage. Desperate to find someone who could help, Virsaviya’s mother moved them from Russia to the US where scientist Dr Bob Adelstein, a molecular biologist, is at the cutting edge of research into this rare and life threatening condition.
