Welcome to the Annual Lazy RC Ranch Long Yearling Bull Sale! “WOW” Is the term we use to describe 2011!! Above average snow fall to spring and summer flooding, all contributing to an abundance of feed supply once again and we are experiencing the best livestock prices that cattle producers have seen in years. Calf prices are as good as we have seen since pre BSE with a record setting bred market. As cattle producers, there is optimism in the business and we hope to see it for many more years to come. There is no better time Russ & Cindy Sibbald to add good Jade & Kate bulls to your program that will make you dollars when you sell your calves - fall or spring. This year, once again, we are selling Long Yearling Bulls - they are 20+ months of age at sale time and 2 years of age when they go out to pasture to breed. Every year we go through a strict culling program, if they don’t work for us they don’t work for YOU. This is the top 50% of the bulls out of our 120 bulls at weaning. These bulls are sound and full of red meat. We have got cow bulls and heifer bulls to meet your needs. At weaning time these bulls are back grounded grass hay and silage ration to gain 1to1.5 lbs per day to grow out naturally. They are fed until May at which time Cody & Black Beauty they are turned out on tame and native grass until September. On September 7, 2011, they were brought in and fed grass hay with a 12% protein screening pellet at 6 lbs per day until October 7, 2011. At this time we started to feed them a mixed ration of grass hay and oat silage with 8 lbs of rolled barley, which the bulls will continue to get until delivery. We feel that this lets the bulls grow up naturally without being harmed. These are all VIRGIN BULLS. All bulls have been semen tested by Southwest Animal Clinic before the sale and come fully guaranteed!
