Volunteer Run Camps
Volunteer Run Camps are day and resident camps planned and run by Girl Scout volunteers and held throughout Northern California. These fun, enriching, local camps allow girls to extend their Girl Scout experience into the summer months and often offer leadership opportunities for older girls.
Tall Trees, Humboldt
Each Volunteer Run Camp manages its own registration process. Refer to the Volunteer Run Camp Section at camprocks.org/volunteer_run_res.html for contact information to obtain registration details. Note: Girl Scout camps are open to every girl without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or ability.

Financial assistance to help cover the camp fees (maximum of 80%) is available for girls who live within the Girl Scouts of Northern California Council area. CAMP STAFF VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer Run Camps are all staffed by screened and trained volunteers. Parents can often attend with their daughter in exchange for helping in different areas of the camp operation. Each camp handles volunteer registration differently. To obtain information about volunteering, contact the camps directly.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
All camps must meet established standards for health and safety, site, program, and personnel, which are set by Girl Scouts of the USA. Resident camps must meet additional state and local government standards. A qualified Health Supervisor is on site at all camps. Parents will be notified in the event of an emergency.
