2019 Summer Camps
Call us to request a paper form.
Welcome Dear Parents, Thank you for your interest in Camp Ithiel. Since 1938, people have experienced Christ’s love firsthand through our summer camp ministry. We have wonderful things planned for this summer and trust that your child will grow closer to God and their peers while at camp. This summer our theme is Peace Works: Empowering the Next Generation of Peacemakers. Peace is a prayer for some and life’s work for others. It is a blessing we share with others and a longing within each of our hearts. Scripture is filled with powerful stories of peace and justice and camp is the perfect place to share them. This summer campers will learn that peace isn’t easy, but it’s always worth the effort, because we know it always works.
Your child will have the unique opportunity to have a trained Christian leader love them and model faith for them. We train our staff in first aid, child development, diversity, and bullying prevention to make sure that kids feel emotionally and physically safe at camp. We invite and welcome all kids to experience the love of God this summer at Camp Ithiel. Please don’t let finances stop you from sending your child here. We have Early Bird rates that run until May 1 along with scholarship money to help ensure that every child can attend camp. Please contact our office if you are in need of financial assistance or have other questions. We are excited to see how God will use camp to impact you and your family in amazing ways this summer. See you soon.
From the moment kids step onto camp property until they head home, our staff is focused on creating a safe and fun place for kids to learn about themselves and God. Your child will learn how God’s endless and unfailing love launches amazing adventures. 2

CAMPER DETAILS It is important that you have as much information as possible when preparing for summer camp. So the pages that follow have all the details you need to know. Please read each page carefully to ensure a successful camp experience! Email summer camp questions to email@example.com.
Registration Age Requirements: Anyone wanting to participate in Camp Ithiel's summer camp program must go to the appropriate camp designed for their age group. There will be no exceptions made. Please do not register for a camp that is not for your camper's age group. View camps and ages on earlier pages. Register Online: This is the fastest way to register and ensure that your child gets a spot in the camp experience they want. You must make a $75.00 non-refundable deposit in order to complete the registration process. No processing fee will be added to final balance. This has changed as of Fall 2018. Please feel free to email us regarding any registration questions. We recognize that some tech-wary parents and grandparents prefer registering the old fashion way. If that’s you—no problem. Call us to request a paper form and then return via email or postage to P.O. Box 25, Gotha, FL 34734.
Refunds & Cancellations: In the event that you should need to cancel a registration, you will receive a refund of fees paid minus $75.00 non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be issued for cancelations 15 days of the camp date. Scholarships: Assistance is available for campers in financial need. They are given on a first-come, first served basis. Visit our website to learn more about how to apply for scholarships. We also encourage campers to seek financial help from outside sources like churches, community centers, etc. Summer Offering: Every year Camp Ithiel takes up an offering that goes toward a ministry we believe is taking Jesus seriously. Information provided at check-in table. Camp Store: Campers are invited to bring money to make purchases at the camp store. Please put any camp store money in a separate envelope from offering money.
Drop Off / Pick Up Check-in: Please pay close attention to check-in date and time for camp experience. Campers may not be dropped off before their specified check-in times. Should campers arrive before check-in time, parents/ guardians must wait with their campers until it is time for check-in. 13
Remaining balance: Remaining tuition balance is expected to be paid on the first day of camp (upon check-in). Please make checks payable to Camp Ithiel. Bring along any remaining registration forms you may have not turned in yet. Check-out: Please pay close attention to appropriate check-out date and time. They are not the same for every camp experience. No camper wants to wait hours to get picked up after camp has ended. Many campers will be excited to see their families and friends.
Contact Camper Mail: We encourage parents/guardians to send their campers mail. We recommend sending mail out Monday or Tuesday to ensure it arrives before Friday. Emailed letters can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org with the camper's name as the subject. Camper mail is distributed Thursday afternoon at lunchtime. Cell Phones: Our culture has become increasingly connected, especially via cell phones. We realize that. However, we do not allow the use of cell phones while at camp because they easily become distractions. Campers are asked to leave electronics at home or turn them in to us upon check-in.
Take advantage of our available discounts. Early Bird Rates: Pay last summer’s camp rate by registering your camper by May 1. This means paperwork and deposit are completed and submitted by the deadline. Paper form registrations that arrive after May 1 but are dated by post office before will be recognized. Get registered early and save a few bucks! Bring-A-Buddy Discount: Invite a buddy to come with you and receive $30.00 off your registration. Buddy must not have attended camp before OR has not attended within the last three years. Additionally, you as the inviter cannot be requesting financial assistance from Camp Ithiel to qualify for this discount; however, outside financial assistance is permitted. Discount only applies to inviter.
If a family emergency requires the need to reach your camper, you are more than able to do that. Simply call camp's office phone and we will connect you with your camper immediately. Call (407) 984-7390.
