County Attorney 200 East 4th Street, Woodbine, GA 31569 Phone: (912) 510-8400 The county attorney is appointed by the Camden County Board of Commissioners and serves as Chief Legal Counsel to the board in all legal matters. The attorney provides legal advice and representation to the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator, all county departments, and the boards and committees organized under the Board of Commissioners on matters related to their official responsibilities. The County Attorney represents the commission in litigating claims filed against the county in state and federal court including eminent domain, personal injury and breach of contract cases, but does not handle any criminal matters. Duties also include drafting ordinances, resolutions, contracts and other legal documents, handling real estate transactions and performing legal research.

The County Clerk’s responsibilities and duties include: Preparing and publishing agendas Preparing minutes Distributing board actions to the constitutional officers, department heads, or those who request them Assuring compliance with the Open Meetings and Open Records Acts Providing information concerning public records of the Board of County Commissioners upon request The County Clerk can answer questions concerning the Board of County Commissioners meetings, agendas, minutes, information requests, governmental functions, or all other questions pertaining to the County Commissioners.
