Camden County contracts with the Humane Society to accept animals.

The Humane Society is a private non-profit organization that provides effective means for prevention of cruelty to animals; cooperates with authorities in prosecuting those guilty of cruelty to animals; affords relief to abandoned animals in need; assists in finding and placing in new homes for abandoned animals; and encourages kindness to and consideration of animals through education of the public and any other ethical means.
