MADE IN THE 1960’S Dial, case and movement signed, in good condition DIAM: 35 mm THICKNESS: 13 mm NOTE: During the late 1960’s and 1970’s Tissot produced many attractive chronographs in the Seastar and Seastar Navigator ranges. This Seastar is equipped with a Lemania cal. 1281, produced at a time when movements and casing parts were being shared between Omega, Tissot and Lemania. Although the movements were all produced by Lemania, they were rebranded for Omega and Tissot watches. The cal. 1281 was developed further to become cal. 1873, a calibre which was used also for the well known Omega Moon watch. The movement was rebranded as the omega Cal. 861 but it is very similar to Lemania 1281. € 800 - 1.200

Quadrante, cassa e movimento firmati, in buone condizioni DIAMETRO: 33 mm SPESSORE: 10 mm NOTA: Durante la seconda guerra mondiale, la manifattura svizzera Moeris è stata una delle aziende che ha fornito entrambi gli eserciti in campo: l’inglese e quello tedesco. Le iniziali ATP sul fondello indicano che questo orologio era stato fornito per l’esercito britannico durante la guerra

NOTE: This Second World War issued watch was made by Swiss Company Moeris for the British Army early in the War and is engraved ATP along wih the Military broad arrow emblem. The initials ATP indicate this was issued as an Army Time Piece. The all original dial is in great shape for an issued piece and does have a a bit of patina on the dial. The hour markers are appled in black paint with radium dots outside of them in the minute track. The fact it uses a white dial is rare by general military specifications but all of the ATP watches I have seen did come with white dials as opposed to the later models which were issued with black dials. The watch is fitted with a 15 jewel Moeris 10 1/2 ligne movement. The solid lug bars are still fitted to the watch.
