Collision between identities of traditional-specified localism and universal-modern globalism had been our daily life outlook. These collision spaces have become highly complex by the mixture of various aspects, such as social & culture, economy, politic to environmental characters, indeed. Finally, their duel is not about losing, or winning, but more about how can they

fit, harmonize, and balancing, one and other through people's life. These local-global negotiation processes requires a space where architecture performs as a part of artificial environment that provides the needs of whole processes. Further question mark is when the architectural product shown, what kind of spatial conditions could

hybridize these bilateral localglobal aspects? Responding the case, the exhibition showed selected 24 student's project of 7th architectural design studio, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, Tarumanagara University; each of which had choose the best possibility to answer the question.

the main idea of the program in this project is talking about the separation of the work area. which is separated into the clean area and dirty area. the clean area is used for quick and express service activity. the other one, dirty area is used for deep care type of service which need to more complicated control and work. In this project subject highlight about the difference about the technology used by the workshop in showroom dan workshop in the pedestrian. the main difference is in the threatment and the work how it is to be done in both ways to fix the vehicle. The main concept about the mass is the imagination about two item collide and crashing, which made an impact that give the idea about the crashing glass that spread to all over the mass as the impact of the crash. the impact is materialised by the usage of the item metal and glass.

Ranging from damaging the face of the city and its architecture, to the practice of banalitic advertising and political propaganda. The project is to reconstruct the spatial function alternative to billboards, where most of the billboard stands at each different point in the

city, has the potential formation of place, but not able to bring the matter other than advertising. Various experiments were conducted to find “other value. Start from the volume experiment of the air space development using pole structure of billboards, and the formation of integrated public space, created by dialogue between billboards and street users.

As you stroll along the streets of Pancoran district, you might fall and sink vulnerably into the hustle and bustle of its life. Hectic. Noisy. Sunny. Greasy. Dusty. You name it. You might as well catch some peculiar Chinese-like words flowing out of strangers passing by, either being spoken so softly, if not whispered or otherwise, yelled at each other.

Those, are dialects. Chinese dialects. Nonetheless, it is sad to acknowledge that most younger generations of Indonesian-born Chinese barely know them at all. Even those who reside in this Chinatown, the core of Chinese legacy in Jakarta. It is clearly understood why their existences are at rock botttom. People nowadays tend to

speak global languages, such as English or Mandarin, on the other hand, deem dialects as something with no greater use. Moreover, there is a generation gap between the older and younger generations which leads to ineffective passing knowlege.

This project attempt to accomodate people needs for a traditional market that has became the icon of Senen. The building was designed as a reaction to the social and economical life in Senen. Hybrid space were defined on the site where there is heterogenity in society. West side where there are office building, apartment, and mall

and the East side where there are Senen Traditional Market and bus terminal. The facility provide indoor and outdoor flea market, bus station that act as a traffic generator, art & craft center for homeless society to increase their capabilty to earn money, and foodcourt area to provide food and drink. The salmon blue membrane structures were

Senen was one of the busiest district in Jakarta, located in Center Jakarta, Indonesia. It was well acknlowledged by the trading issue, especially because of Pasar Senen (Senen market) which has been established since 1733. However as time goes by, Pasar Senen slowly abandoned, Pasar Senen

was considered shabby, dirty, and prone to crime so that most people are reluctant to set their feet in Pasar Senen. Ironically, Senen was a strategic district near the government center, this area is also a transportation node that connect residential areas in east Jakarta with the business center in south Jakarta and education district in western Jakarta. Senen is a static trading district as well as a dinamic district with high levels of mobility. This project is trying to engage the static market with the dynamic and high movement issue in the district.

Sabang strip acts as the secondary lane; as well as the main media for the people who come from several aspects: cars & drivers, office workers, goods & food vendors, and also the local communities of Kebon Sirih. As a mixture media of people activity and movements, Sabang strip is now facing some complex problems: parking, traffic

jams, street crowdedness, and also illegal street vendors standing in the public parking area. Seeking for the balanced flow of people movements, this project aims to create a new pedestrian system through the strip, mixed and segmented with some shared social activity space as the main attractors. The main program consists of new pedestrian accesses

and a parking building. Building system and skins are formed through the connectivity of each space formed by the activities in between. The combination of the facade creates each characteristic inside, between the massive, semitransparent and the transparent through the activities as the duality of the local and global aspects.

His works are primarily on design theories and their relevance to design practice. Some of them explore the production of space by the society and their everydayness. He is also interested in seeing architectural space within the context of temporal dynamics, both the dynamics of the physical environment and the dynamics of the society. Hence he always considers changes, ephemerality and unpredictability as important ingredients in our architectural practice. He also explores another dimension in the context of urban society and urban environment, and how architecture needs to respond to the current challenge of sustainability.

Her main research interests are on the interrelationship between human behavior and environment; not only on how environment may affect behavior but also how the individuals may shape the physical environment through their thoughts and actions. She has particular interests in the environments of children and young people. She also sees environment as settings for the society, especially children and young people, to learn about their relationship with the environment, to understand environmental issues in their surrounding, as well as to learn various actions and interventions that they may do in their own environment.
