Hayman-Joyce are very proud to sponsor

Charlie Longsdon Racing

harlie Longsdon has now been training for six years. Having started with just ten horses in his first season, he had sixty during the last campaign and is aiming to build up to having over seventy horses for the 2012/13 season. In his six years he has trained over 180 winners, with the highlights being Songe's win in the Blue Square Chamion Hurdle Trial at Haydock in January 2009, Palypso de Creek's run in the Grand

National in 2010 and more recently Paintball's Imperial Cup win at Sandown this Spring and Up To Something's win in the big DBS Bumper at Newbury. The 2011-12 season was by far Charlie's most successful season to date. Having set out with a target of 50 winners and over £300,000 in prize money. He was delighted to win 69 National Hunt races and 2 flat races making it 71 winners in total. The 69

National Hunt winners were from just 349 runners, at a strike rate of 20% and that saw him 13th (23rd last season) in the trainer's title and 11th in numerical winners. He also broke the £300,000 barrier winning just over £380,000 in prize money. To a one pound stake, if you had backed all of Charlie's horses, you would have had a healthy profit of over £56. These are great statistics which Charlie is extremely proud of and were only bettered last

season by Henderson, Nicholls and McCain. Charlie is gradually getting a stronger team, and he is aiming to have over 70 winners and to break the ÂŁ500,000 barrier in prize money won this 2012/13 season. He is also keen to be challenging for more of the bigger prizes this season and build on the DBS and Imperial Cup success from last season. With the likes of Paintball, Vulcanite, Hazy Tom, Grandad's Horse and Universal Soldier he will hopefully be able to do this. Charlie has an expanding team behind him who are extremely dedicated and ambitious. They pride themselves on happy, healthy horses and believe this is shown in the results. We have a fantastic set of owners, most of whom have been with us since the early stages of his career and they help to make Charlie Longsdon Racing a very close knit team. | 13

hat is the Mayfair Group? Well, it is just about the best thing to happen to buyers and sellers of property for a very long time – a group of expert independent estate agents really working together in the interests of all home movers. Like so many of our high streets over the past few years, estate agency has become top-heavy with corporate brands. This may be all well and good for fashion and food chains but property is a very personal and local business. People’s homes are not commodities to be traded like socks and wares. They are a person’s most valuable possession representing a huge investment both in money and emotion. We are proud to have been selected as a member of the Mayfair Group which brings together the most knowledgeable and experienced independent estate agents across the UK. Many have worked in their locality for most, if not all, of their working lives. We are people who know and appreciate local property and what it means to buyers and sellers. But it is not just at a local level that we in the

Mayfair Group can help home moves. With over 300 offices across the UK we are one of the largest and most effective networks of estate agents in the country. There are also 150 Mayfair Group offices overseas, all linked through the powerful Mayfair Office website, which features some 16,000 properties. What is the most effective thing we can do to help you buy or sell property? The answer is to put you in direct contact with the best and leading estate agent in the place you want to be - the sort of firm that you would willingly recommend to friend or family. Indeed the Mayfair Group is like a family, a family of experts in all types of property; experts in local, regional, national and international property marketing; experts in internet property marketing; experts even in coastal property and equestrian property. But above all we are experts in property where you live. And that makes us the most important property experts of all.
