Schools of Hope is a local AmeriCorps project. AmeriCorps is a national program that places members in areas of need in the United States to develop or enhance programs and strengthen communities. Our primary goal in Schools of Hope is to help children improve their reading skills. As part of the Project you would work with a team of AmeriCorps members based at local elementary schools to coordinate reading and math tutors and develop resources for children and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the academic success of the community's children while developing and using your community building, education and project management skills. Project members work as part of a team in conjunction with the Madison, Sun Prairie and Middleton school districts. Position(s) Available: AmeriCorps Tutor Coordinator, Summer AmeriCorps Member
