oon after completing his master’s degree in kinesiology and exercise


science at Cal Poly in June of 2015, Scott Williams joined the Mustang women’s soccer staff as a volunteer assistant. Also concurrently serving as the men’s team’s director of operations, he helped their program post its fourth winning season over a five-year stretch in 2014. Williams came to San Luis Obispo after spending two seasons coaching at Westmont, where he was responsible for mentoring the goalkeepers,


Meet the Mustangs

Cal Poly

Volunteer Assistant First Season Cal Poly, 2015 overseeing back line development, focusing on strength and conditioning regimen, and helping with the recruiting process. During his playing career with the Warriors (which included a run to the quarterfinals of the 2008 NAIA National Championship Tournament), Williams was a four-year starter at left back and midfielder. Originally from Albuquerque, N.M., Williams graduated with his baccalaureate degree in kinesiology from Westmont in 2011. • 10
