Remembering Judge Beverly Reid O’Connell Southern California native. Leader. Lawyer. Uniquely admired jurist. Intense. Focused. Selfless. These are just a few of the descriptors California Women Lawyers has received that describe Judge Beverly Reid O’Connell.

Judge O’Connell was nominated on November 4, 2012 by President Barack Obama to be a United States District Judge for the Central District of California and was confirmed unanimously by the Senate on April 15, 2013. She received her commission just two weeks later.
