Changing a User’s Password When you need to change another user’s password, you can easily do this using My Connect. To change a user’s password using My Connect 1. From the My Connect Tasks menu, click Change Other User’s Details. 2. When prompted, type your own password, and click OK. 3. On the User Details window, in the Username field, type the user’s logon name, and click the ‘Show user's details’ button. Note When you type a username that is not an exact match for names already on your system, a list of possible users is displayed. Select a user, and click OK. If you leave the Username field blank, the list will display all the users on the system; it may take some time to display the full list. 4. Choose the Password tab.

The Password tab is displayed after you have typed a username and clicked the ‘Show user’s details’ button.

5. Type exactly the same password in both new password fields. For security reasons, the passwords are displayed as asterisks. 6. Tick the Change Password box, and click OK. The user will have to type the new password the next time they log on. For further help with using My Connect, refer to its Help.

To change passwords for multiple users, you use the RM Management Console. To change multiple users’ passwords using the RM Management Console 1. From your desktop, choose the RM Management Console icon. 2. From the left-hand pane, expand

Users, and choose All Users.

3. From the right-hand pane, select all the users whose passwords you want to change. 4. Right-click the selected users and from the menu, choose Change Password. 5. Type exactly the same password in both new password fields. For security reasons, the passwords are displayed as asterisks. 6. Click OK.
