The Championship By: Ian O.
Hey Jason, It’s your cousin Jack; I hope that your leg is feeling better! I’ve always looked up to you and you’ve acted like a big brother to me. You have helped to guide me and have taught me new things. I know that your leg isn’t back to normal yet but I still think that you can play in the upcoming tournament. I hope that you do decide to play. I’ve seen you go through worse times and still manage to tough out the pain and play. You have a passion for hockey that I’ve never seen before in a person. If I were you, I would fight through the pain of your leg and play. I know that you can do it! Please take my advice and play in the upcoming tournament. Again, I hope that your leg gets better! Your cousin, Jack Dad: “The doctor says that he can play in the tournament, although he did say that Jason might go through some pain if he does play.” Coach: “The team needs him; he’s a key player in our lineup. I hope that he can return in time for the games.” Dad: “I will let him decide what he wants to do but I will strongly encourage him to participate this weekend.” Coach: “Thanks, I know that it will be tough for him to skate and that he won’t be at his best but I think he can tough it out. After all, he is our team captain and as I said earlier, he is a key component to our team. Dad: “I will make sure that he takes into consideration that by playing this weekend in the tournament, he will help the team.” Coach: “Thanks, it’s greatly appreciated.” Dad: “You’re welcome.”
Championship Pre-game: Coach – “Skate hard and take what they give you! Are you ready to play?” Team – “Yeah!” Coach – “Get to every loose puck and win every battle. Are you ready?” Team – “Yeah!” Coach – “Most importantly, have fun! Now who’s ready to go out there and play some hockey?” Team – “We are!” Jason – “Let’s go boys!” Team – “Let’s go canes!”
