Being Native by Jeremiah It’s not fair in this nation where there is separation between culture and life. I try and weigh them out. It’s all I’m about. Eating an Indian taco is better than winning the Lotto. I sometimes put my culture first. I don’t want things to get worse. I like my music loud. I sometimes get lost in a cloud. I am my headphones on ears that unites the drum beat of my culture and the dub-step of my everyday life. I would let my hair grow put it in a tsi yeel.
