orn between the 80s and 90s, the millenials generation is used to fast communications, to a digitalized world and, above all, has a concept of luxury very different from the standard opulence. The new G Hotel in Pescara, by the CarbelonCaroppi Studio has been designed "for young people" being an "urban hotel", a new category of hotels for a target of smart travellers carfeul about budget and style in the same time. The G Hotel occupies the spaces of the former Ferrohotel, once a simple guesthouse for railway workers. and there is even a monitor remembering departures and arrivals. A simple dark wood desk-reception dominates the space and, also acting as a small bar, invites guests to stay in the lounge to chat and spend time with friends. The space is similar to a house living room, with conversation areas and a table where you can organize informal meetings or work on your own computer as in a co-working. Travellers' silhouettes lead customers to the rooms, which are also customised with icons of old-fashioned ladies, vessel captains and mustached men. The rooms are functionally furnished, with open wardrobes, study area and all have bathrooms with extra large showers. The layout, which revolves around the Dorelan beds chosen in the maxi queen or king sizes, has not only been designed to be welcoming and comfortable, but also to simplify daily cleaning operations
