Principal harpist of the LA Philharmonic Emmanuel Ceysson brings his “virtually flawless” technique (Washington Post) to BYU. Born and raised in France, Ceysson has collected several distinctions and prizes, from the gold medal at the 2004 USA International Harp Competition to first prize at the 2009 ARD International Music Competition.

Fabio Menchetti, Piano: From Bach to Ligeti

Brahms’s incomparable Piano Quartet in C Minor will be performed by BYU professor Alex Woods (violin) with guest artists Aubrey Woods (violin), Garrick Woods (cello), and Rex Woods (piano) in an intimate concert of intense, vibrant chamber music.

Fabio Menchetti, associate professor of piano at Washington State University, will perform solo piano works from the 18th and 20th century, connecting two eras far from each other but also subtly connected.

Starting with an English Suite by Bach, the program will culminate with Musica ricercata by Ligeti, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the composer’s death.
