Construction: The Fibonotches gallery can be easily constructed after all the panel pieces are cut and connected. The proposed gallery would be made of cardboard for inexpensive construction and durability. with the aid of the Sonoco Institute of Packaging Science and Graphics, each cardboard piece was precisely cut for easy assembly. The patterns show the sequential members that ultimately make up each panel of the gallery.

B amboo Structure Clemson Outdoor Labs

Proposal The proposal challenged our team to design a biodegradable canopy and classroom that could be constructed at the Clemson University Outdoor Labs. The structure will allow roughly ten people to gather in a shaded space for positive and interactive learning. The space also allows small gardens to be planted on and around the structure space. Responsibilities: Overall concept and design, Google Sketchup Render, Foundation research/planning/design

Humanitarian Crisis Although the European Union has acknowledged the current crisis, the massive logistical infrastructure required to deal with it has been slow in arriving, thousands of refugees are stranded throughout Greece and Italy.

Madrid’s Network

In September 2015, the EU agree to relocate 160,000 asylum seekers from Italy and Greece by September of 2017. Many countries have resisted sharing the burden of change and stalled relocation processes with immense paperwork and lawsuits.

Although Spaniards have proven to be welcoming to refugees accepted through the program, the Spanish government has not acted as quickly as required to fulfill this promise. Transportation from refugee camps to Integration Centers and permanent residences can take months.

Due to the Spanish Government’s slow response, non-profit organizations have begun to take the lead in integrating their new neighbors into the community. Spread throughout Madrid, these organizations provide crucial legal and cultural support to acclimate the refugees into the city.

Without any sort of protection, many rooms of the center would be extremely over lit. Using panels which custom to the program inside, we can create an exterior which provides proper lighting for each specific use.

Wellness Clinic

Protected Decks

The patient rooms for the Wellness Clinic’s patient rooms create a sense of privacy by using louvers to block views into the space from surrounding buildings, while mesh panels allow ventilation and views of the plaza.

As the building steps up, two decks are created. One for the public, and one solely for the refugee community. These decks would be shaded by the Exo-Frame which is angled for optimal PV panel efficiency.
