brüel international a/s Med en historie, der begynder med et traditionelt smedefirma tilbage i 1843, er brüel international a/s en af Hjørrings ældste virksomheder. I dag er brüel international a/s blandt Europas førende producenter af fuldautomatiske anlæg til håndtering, vask og tørring af plastemballage til levnedsmiddelindustrien over hele verden. Virksomheden, der er en del af Jorgensen Group A/S, beskæftiger omkring 100 medarbejdere på hovedkvarteret på W. Brüels Vej. Firmaet har desuden datterselskaber i Holland, Tyskland, Schweiz og Australien. Da jernbanen kom til Vendsyssel var virksomheden kendt for sine landbrugsmaskiner, redskaber og kakkelovne. I 1880’erne blev Waldemar Brüel optaget som kompagnon, og firmaet udviklede sig til en decideret maskinfabrik og jernstøberi.
Da 1800 blev til 1900 gik W. Brüel fra landbrug til industri og begyndte en produktion af drejebænke og værktøjsmaskiner. Siden er fokus ændret mange gange og i dag er kernekompetencen avancerede, kundetilpassede anlæg til håndtering, vask og tørring af plastkasser og paller til levnedsmiddelindustrien. Mens plastemballagen i større og større omfang genbruges, rettes fokus naturligt på at nedsætte energiforbruget i alle processer. I forlængelse heraf, bestræber brüel international a/s at være på forkant med den nyeste udvikling. Nyeste produkt er således en spintørrer, som er en effektiv og økonomisk løsning, hvor emnerne centrifugeres i et tørrekabinet, hvor der bruges ganske lidt energi til processen.

Today, brüel international a/s is one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of all-automatic installations for handling, washing and drying of plastic packaging for the worldwide food industry. The company, which is part of Jorgensen Group A/S, employs about 100 employees at the head quarter on W. Brüels Vej. The company has further affiliates in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Australia. When the railroad came to Vendsyssel, the company was known for its agricultural machines, tools and stoves. In the 1880’s, Waldemar Brüel was admitted as partner, and the company developed into a machine shop and iron foundry. When the 1800s became 1900s, W. Brüel went from agriculture to industry and started manufacturing lathes and tool machines. Focus has changed many times since and the core competency is now advanced, customised equipment for handling, washing and drying of plastic boxes and pallets for the food industry. Plastic packaging is being recycled to a larger extent, and we focus on reducing the energy consumption in all processes. In extension of this, brüel international a/s strives to be in forefront with the newest advance, and the newly developed spin dryer is an efficient and economical solution for centrifuging items in a drying cabinet with a minimum of energy.
