EDUCATIONAL SESSION TWO Attendees may attend two of three forums in session 2.

MyHerd.org: The Efficiency of Electronic Recording Are you a new AHA member curious about the MyHerd. org program, or a current member needing to brush up on the new updates? AHA Director of Records Stacey Standers and representatives from the records department will give a brief overview of the MyHerd site for any non-users or new members. The team will also focus on new features and will give an update on new tools available to help users learn to navigate the system and perform specific tasks.

Social Media Marketing: Navigating a Social World Whether you’re a Facebook pro or just getting started online, this session is designed for those needing assistance in the social media world. Take your social media marketing to the next level with AHA Marketing and Communications Coordinators Kaylen Baker and Katy Holdener. The team will help lay the groundwork to enhance social media presence for your business. A question and answer portion will be included after the discussion of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and website tips.

Creative Services: Capture an Outstanding Photo, Logo, Brochure or Catalog Take your Hereford Publications Inc. (HPI) creative services projects to the next level with this session. HPI will present a panel discussion between HPI staff and attendees and will open the door for learning how to prepare projects for both print and digital production. The moderator, Joe Rickabaugh, director of field management and seedstock marketing, will introduce staff and lead the conversation on various HPI projects. This will be a fun, interactive, fact-finding session for those who attend. Certified Hereford Beef: Excellence Built By Tradition In this session, participants will learn why the Certified Hereford Beef (CHB®) program was formed and the requirements to qualify for the program from Chief Operating Officer Amari Manning, and Director of Commercial Programs Trey Befort. The team will cover live animal specifications and the USDA quality-graded carcass specifications along with an overview of the consumer side of the industry to learn how CHB is marketed in both retail and foodservice segments.

Whole Herd TPR Genetic Evaluation Updates: What You Need to Know AHA Director of Breed Improvement Shane Bedwell will discuss implementation of new genetic evaluation updates and will provide a roadmap for the future of the Hereford breed. This session will cover the reasons why the AHA is moving to the new genetic evaluation software, BOLT. Bedwell will also examine trait groupings and re-estimation of parameters, new economically relevant traits including Sustained Cow Fertility (SCF), Heifer Calving Rate (HCR) and Dry Matter Intake (DMI), and will review the four profit ($) indexes — Certified Hereford Beef Index (CHB$), Baldy Maternal Index (BMI$), Calving Ease Index (CEZ$) and Brahman Influence Index (BII$). New Heights in Leadership Hereford breeders and enthusiasts are invited to attend a presentation by a high-energy, entertaining and, most of all, inspiring Kelly Barnes. Born and raised on a small family farm in eastern Oklahoma, Kelly’s message is centered on the stories, life lessons and virtues he learned growing up. This is a can’t-miss opportunity for all who want to take your personal and professional leadership to the next level.

• Fancy January Cracker Jack daughter out of a first calf heifer. Dam is a perfect uddered, stout, moderate, horned daughter of HH Advance 8050U and an elite Hoffman donor. This outcross mating to Cracker Jack really worked. She will show well and make a super cow with donor potential. Style, balance and rib shape all in a feminine, moderate package.

• 1619 is out of the highest selling bull in Canada in 2013. The Action calves are routinely topping sales in Canada and are just now becoming available in the states. Dam is a beautiful, nice uddered Davidson daughter and is a stand out cow. Big topped, deep ribbed, easy moving and feminine. Nearly flawless in structure. Front end and shoulders are plenty smooth and clean for a heifer this stout. Lots of pigment and colored right to draw attention.

We would not offer this female except her mother is nursing a full sister that we plan to retain. All national champions below are out of full sisters to the dam of this female. The Odetta x Hometown 10Y mating continues to impress us, not only in the showring, but more importantly in the pasture. • The most complete and powerfully constructed female generated by the 9019 cow family. If you like them stout, big ribbed and impeccable structurally, then 1668 is your choice. Study the females throughout the pedigree. Big time donor potential post show career. We would entertain owning a piece of this female if the new owner chooses. • This heifer’s mother was our pick from Lowderman’s 2015 fall sale. She checked all the boxes; tremendous udder, balance and body, yet good on paper. We thought her mating to Wildcat would click… and it did! As a young breeder wanting to promote our program, we think Lady Revival is our best advertisement. Actual BW 84 lb.

• Prom Queen has all the pieces to compete at the highest level. So deep and powerful. Her sire, Hometown, was number one for registrations in the breed last year and his genetics have become some of the most sought after anywhere. Her dam, 2099, is a productive young cow that is headed to the donor pen. With this combination in her pedigree and double bred P606, just imagine how maternal she will be after her show career.

• We always try to bring on of our best to Kansas City and 40D is certainly no exception! With an extra long neck and square hip, Tawny, has had a striking look since birth. Her dam is one of the most predictable and profitable entities in the breed with numerous national champions and top producing sons and daughters to her credit over the last decade plus. Recent maternal sibs include 2016 OYE Grand Champion Heifer, 2015 JNHE Grand Champion Polled Female and both the Junior and Open Show Grand Champions in Louisville. This one is certainly built in that mold. Good legged and perfect at the ground, Tawny, has the build and lateness of maturity to attain the loftiest of goals. Show heifer deluxe with the kind of pedigree and cow power you can build around for years to come. CHV. • Retaining one future flush.

• Beautifully bred female here that should hit on all the true Hereford cattlemen’s wish list. She is a direct daughter of WORR Owen Tankeray Y79D. Tankeray daughters are now in production. On the maternal side, she is a granddaughter of the famous Miss Gold Dom 206 female. This legendary cow has produced well above $500,000 in her lifetime and continues to be a cornerstone in many notable herds across the country. She sports a modest 4.0 on birth weight to a 96 on yearling. She is listed in the top 10% on 5 traits. • Kimberly was bred AI April 29, 2016, to the popular bull, DPH LH BF Launch 1310. 1310 was the high selling bull at The Event Sale in 2015, commanding a price of $76,250. He is a tremendous mating of Catapult and an elite Sooner daughter, the Geisha donor from Barber Ranch. This mating should result in tremendous EPD profile and performance. Pasture exposed June 1 to Aug. 1, 2016, to WORR Skywalker. Blood checked pregnant at 30 days to Launch 1310. Expected calving date of Feb. 6, 2017.

• A truly special opportunity has come along and we want to share with you the excitement we have surrounding this offering. Harley was the 2015 Iowa State Fair Hereford Female Champion. Harley from a phenotypic and genetic standpoint is full of the greats; her mother, LCC Two Timin 438 ET, and sire, C Miles McKee 2103 ET. She is already proving herself with her first crop of ET calves, CCS Harleys Misty 101D ET and CCS Harleys Sensation 102D, which will be campaigned this fall and spring. Don’t miss it! • Guarantee one pregnancy if done by a certified embryologist.

• 26T is the mother of the 2013 Western Nugget Champion Female and three other outstanding replacement females in our program. She’s the cattlemen’s kind with exceptional fleshing ability, a powerful hip and hind leg structure, not to mention her fertility advantage. Take a look at her daughters and you’ll understand why this cow gets it done every year. Embryos stored in Caldwell, Idaho.

• Wonder might be the best mating yet with Blazer and with his semen virtually off the market, makes this a rare offering. Blazer 2029 is a Dam of Distinction and the dam of the 2013 NWSS Supreme Champion RST Times A Wastin 0124. 2029 continues to impress us more every year. At fourteen she calved unassisted in April. She then gave 12 conventional embryos, bred back first service for an April 2017 calf and followed that up with 28 IVF embryos by Wonder. Fertility and longevity at its finest. • Selling a package of three (3), number 1, IVF embryos, non sorted. LOT
