The Anything Goes Diet is a weight loss program that offers a non-restrictive way to lose weight. The author, nutritionist and fitness expert, John Barban, claims that you don't need to go through the kind of restrictive eating routines that many other diet plans suggest. You can just as easily lose weight without giving up any of your favorite foods, as long as you do things in a smart way. John Barban states that most peole miscount their calories and usually eat more than they really do so counting calories is inaccurate. A better way is to "guess" your calories: meaning that you always assume thar you've really eaten about 15% more calories than you believe you did, giving you ample margin of error and making sure you still have a calorie deficit. The program can be done with or without exercising. The reason for this is that Barban has found that most people overestimate the number of calories they burn during their workouts, so it's much better to make sure you have a calorie deficit with the food you eat and your normal calorie burn rate, and consider any workouts as a nice bonus. The way the Anything Goes Diet works is by giving you a variety of techniques and tips to make it easy for you to create and maintain a calorie deficit for a long time.
