Our Space Set in the heart of beautiful woodland, just outside Burnley Town Centre, our welcoming and friendly environment with purposebuilt facilities of the highest quality are the perfect setting for classes, conferences, presentations, meetings and receptions. Ample onsite parking plus lots of free parking nearby make Burnley Arts Centre the go-to venue for events and meetings of any size. Our Moira Preston Building is brand new and combined with our other building, The Youth Theatre Building, we offer a variety of adaptable spaces available throughout the week. Please remeber, by using our space you are supporting our core charitable aims and enabling us to continue to make a life changing difference to children and young people.

Room to Imagine A light, airy room with floor to ceiling windows that can accommodate up 40 people sitting for a presentation, and up to 25 in a workshop/meeting. Seats up to 40 Hearing loop Flipcharts

Room to Do A square room, with minimum distraction, perfect for a concentrated effort. This room can accommodate 50 people in a presentation style and 30+ in a group activity. This is a large room with a lot of flexibility. Seats up to 50 Hearing loop Flipcharts

Kitchen and Toilet facilities The Moira Preston Building has separate kitchen and toilet facilities, meaning it can function away from the main building, accommodating discreet events.

The Youth Theatre Building


The Alan Daiches Studio Whether you’re looking to put on a performance, a seminar or run your weekly zumba class, the Alan Daiches Studio is the perfect space. This modern, professional space boasts an impressive selection of staging opportunities, seating up to 158 audience members on our raised seating. The seating can be moved to create space for twelve large conference tables. Highly regarded by industry leaders, this space is inventive and adaptable. If you’re looking for inspiration, we have a pretty, well-maintained outdoor performance space – sometimes frequented by our local deer! Seats up to 158 Hearing loop Flipcharts

Room to Move Room to Move is a flexible space for all types of events. The space benefits from a removable wall that enables it to be divided into two self-contained areas – perfect for dance or physical classes and activities. Seats up to 20 Hearing loop Flipcharts

@home in the Foyer During the day the foyer provides a welcoming environment for users of the building, whether they are working here, watching a show or taking part in a workshop or event; it’s a place to make yourself at home. The foyer is available for events and offers an intimate and flexible space for functions or meetings.



Why Us? We are an evolving space with a story and we want you to become a part of it. We want you to understand that by making use of our space and contributing a donation for that use, you are supporting one of the most dynamic charities in Burnley and enabling us to continue to make a difference to children and young people across East Lancashire. Located in the heart of Burnley, Peninne Lancashire, Burnley Arts Centre, home of Burnley Youth Theatre (BYT) was the first purpose built youth theatre in the UK. We are a unique charity with a welcoming and inclusive approach that is the perfect venue for workshops, events, conferences and many other potential uses. With a range of workshops and programmes already on offer to the public, we offer the highest training and development opportunities to the local community and beyond. Burnley Arts Centre is a source of learning and will be at the centre of the community for generations to come; an exceptional place to work, learn and be inspired.


The Charity At Burnley Arts Centre, home of Burnley Youth Theatre, our mission is to help young people reach their full potential, providing them with a positive alternative . We aim to build character, capturing young people’s interest and increasing their personal expectations, acting as a gateway to culture and theatre. We contribute to the development of successful, productive futures for young people. We provide access for young people to theatre, drama, dance and performing arts activity across Burnley and beyond. We have a reputation for creating dynamic, inspiring and original work, covering classic theatre as well as devised and original shows. We also work with a range of harder to engage young people in outreach settings. Burnley Youth Theatre is at the forefront of community cohesion work in Burnley. We work with 3 - 25 year olds in our purpose-built space, and through the development of confidence, communication and creativity we change young people’s lives.


Using Our Space When you use our space, your donation will enable us to continue to further our charitable goals across the region, changing young people’s lives for the better, by providing an outlet, an opportunity, and a purpose for children and young people. And what could be better than that? Suggested donations range from £10 per hour for a basic room hire, through to £300 per day for full use of The Alan Daiches Studio. Delegate rates for conferences start from £20 per person, including refreshments and WiFi. We are happy to negotiate and facilitate a bespoke rate that meets your needs and budget.
