Coming to Burlington Public Library has been an immense pleasure for me. Since arriving in June, I have met many of you while spending time at each branch. Thank you so much for your warm welcome. Two of the many great things about Burlington that enticed me to work here: Burlington is a community of readers and enthusiastic library supporters—a dream combination for this librarian. So, you’ll be pleased to know that, based on your feedback, we have evolved One Book One Burlington into an exciting new author/book talk series, Burlington Reads. Launching this fall with three talented authors, we hope you’ll borrow the books and join us at the events. And more big news: Hollywood is coming to Burlington! We have a signature event with the executive producer of The Handmaid’s Tale who will walk us through the process of turning a beloved novel into a blockbuster TV series. And, of course, our popular storytimes and family programs will continue to delight our young learners. I look forward to meeting you in the coming months.
