Expand your classical dance training to include Spanish Dance in the neoclassical style. Concurrent enrollment in ballet with Sandra Dixon is required. MARTIAL ARTS Jr. Karate

Empower kids to deal with bullying, peer pressure and violence, while adopting a healthy peaceful lifestyle. A comprehensive Black-Belt curriculum covers striking, grappling and groundwork. Training promotes confidence, physical conditioning and mental focus, while the class structure instills discipline and respect, offering the best mix of tradition and reality based self-defense. Tap Dance – Beginner to Advanced

Tap dancers make music with their feet. It’s great physical and mental exercise. Level 1 introduces basic steps and easy routines. Levels 2-5 progress to combinations and challenging choreography. Make it a combo class by taking “Ballet – Beginners to Advanced”. Adult caregivers are welcome to observe in the classroom or sit outside the room. Classroom decorum is observed. Dress code is black leotard, pink tights, and tan tap shoes. Register in the fall to prepare for Spring Fling.

Jr. Karate - Sparring

Take confidence to the next level by exploring the realistic application of Karate with practical sparring. Refine and apply striking and grappling skills in a dynamic high-energy atmosphere using protective gear in a safety conscious environment. Overcome fears and apprehensions of a confrontation, while improving self-control, focus, reflexes and timing. Must also be enrolled in Jr. Karate and minimum Orange-Belt or have special permission from instructor to participate. Fall Recreation Guide 2019

Students explore the mystique of classical martial arts weapons on their quest for self-mastery. Classes are safety conscious and offer the best mix of traditional training and modern self-defense application. Curriculum covers Sai, Tonfa, Kama and Nunchaku (like Ninja Turtles) to develop improvisational skills, strong body, flexibility and peaceful attitude.
