Shaws Road Winery Restaurant is set in a stunning Australian native garden, surrounded by lush vineyards with spectacular views of rolling hills and farmlands and the distant mountains.
This beautiful rural setting is the perfect location to bring your friends and family together to celebrate your special day. We will help you to create happy, wonderful memories and can offer you great food, great wine, warm hospitality and outstanding service.
As well as the Winery/Restaurant which seats up to 65 guests, there is also on-site luxurious accommodation in the Farmhouse for up to 4 guests in two beautiful adjoining apartments.
Just 45 minutes North of the Melbourne CBD and 60 minutes from the Tullamarine airport, Shaws Road Winery is located in the famous Yarra Valley region.
CEREMONY
THE GARDEN
With native gardens and gumtrees and distant blue mountains as the backdrop, the Garden setting is perfect (in fine weather) for an outdoor ceremony. Immediately adjacent to the Restaurant and accessible by magnificent steel doors, seating will be on the adjacent bricked garden court-yard area.
THE RESTAURANT
If the weather is inclement, the garden end of the Restaurant can be set up for a beautiful ceremony under an arbour, with the magnificent garden setting in the background.

THE APARTMENT
Perfect for elopements and micro-weddings, bring 4-8 of your favourite people together in your own Apartment. There is a private balcony for guests to mingle, enjoy an aperitif and canapés and linger long enough to watch the sunset.

COUNTRY-STYLE SHARED FEAST
The Country-style Shared Feast is served on generous platters and bowls down the centre of each table, so that guests may serve themselves
Entrée: The Winemakers Platters
Marinated olives, two dips, two cheeses, two charcuterie meats, quince paste, cornichons, Apteds’ pickled pears, grilled turkish bread, crackers
Mains, Sides and Desserts:
You will be invited to create your own unique menu from our Chef’s Country-style Shared Feast dishes (in addition to the The Winemaker’s Platters for entrée) selecting 2 mains, 2 sides and 2 desserts.
Dietary Requirements:
We would appreciate at least two week’s notice if any of your guests have dietary requirements (e.g. vegetarian, vegan, nut free, gluten free, dairy free) so that our Chef can ensure your guests are offered alternative dishes tailored to their needs

BEVERAGES
To complement your chosen luncheon package, you are invited to select one of the following beverage packages. These packages are based on three-hour consumption.
ON-CONSUMPTION
You set the limit of the tab behind the Bar (we can help you to set an appropriately sized limit for your event).
Once your bar limit is reached, you can either top it up, change to an open bar for an additional amount or time period, or, from that point on your guests will be free to purchase any additional drinks for themselves.

SPARKLING FOR THE TOASTS
Raise your glasses for the Toast!
A splash of sparkling white wine poured into Champagne glasses and handed around as the speeches are being made.
SPIRITS
Spirits are not included in any of the consumption packages, however, you can choose to add a bar tab for some or all of your guests to enjoy.
STAY
Two Apartments
Located just next door to the Restaurant, the Farmhouse contains two separate luxurious apartments.
If booked together they can be interlinked by a communal landing holding a cocktail bar at an additional cost – somewhere to gather before the ceremony.
Beautifully styled with attention to detail, the Apartments have King beds, private balconies, en-suite bathrooms with claw-foot baths, kitchenettes and sitting rooms.
Breakfast provisions are included in the package. Accommodation for four adults in total.
All accommodation bookings are for a minimum two-night stay.

PHOTO SHOOTS
For Brides who want to hold their ceremony elsewhere, but want beautiful photographs of their special day set on our magnificent property, you are welcome to use the gardens, vineyards and nearby farmyards to create a stunning visual reminder of a great day.

THE SEASONS
We are a working winery and farm, where the seasons dictate the activities.
In late Summer (Feb-March) the vines are covered in bird nets for 6-8 weeks, and in Winter the vines are bare – no leaves at all.
Our Harvest period (late Summer) can be a period of intense activity with all the equipment being used and on display.
In Autumn (April – May) the leaves turn to gold and are truly stunning but… the wind can cause the leaves to disappear overnight. We never know when Harvest will begin, when the bird nets will be draped over the vines, or when the Autumn leaves will disappear – it changes from season to season and is always unpredictable.
MUSIC
Our beautiful restaurant is small and intimate and not suitable for large dance bands. Additionally, we have neighbours nearby and must respect their peace and quiet. Before arranging your entertainment please seek approval from Shaws Road Winery.
