The cardinal points were marked out onto the floor surface and measurements of where the compass would lay were marked out so the rest of the floor first applied with a sealer using Cemcrete’s Concrete Sealer Matt as a base then Colour Hardener Sealer. This left the unsealed floor area where the team would apply the vinyl and peel out the compass.
To apply the vinyl stencil, they used a plastic squeegee to remove any creases or bubbles and minimum of three people needed at a time in order to obtain a perfect, smooth placement. The actual stain used Cemcrete Cretestain Black then applied into the peeled out areas of the vinyl, thus staining the exposed area, then further peeling of vinyl leaving the Cretestain compass on the floor matching all cardinal points. The entire process took about a week from start to finish.
