Arrive at Chiang Mai Airport and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit Chiang Mai’s highlights. Visit some of the city’s many beautiful temples, including Wat Chiang Mun, the oldest in the city. Enjoy a stroll along the ancient city wall and moat passing saffron robed monks. Prepare yourself for a memorable day, spent with elephants. In the morning, leave for the Chiang Dao Elephant training camp, which is one of the few authentic elephant camps in the country. Observe the elephants taking their morning bath in the stream before commencing their daily work. Then, you will ride on elephants into the jungle to visit a Lizu village. This journey takes about an hour and a half. Then, you will start your next adventure on a bamboo raft and travel down a stretch of the Ping River, passing local villages along the way. At the end of your reafting adventure you will be transferred back to your hotel in Chiang Mai.
