Day 1-3

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap - Angkor Complex

You will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the capital taking in the main sights. Make visits to the Grand Palace, sobering Tuol Sleng Prison, the National Museum and the bustling Russian Market. In the evening, enjoy a stroll along the capital’s atmospheric riverfront. On Day 2, you will depart the capital for the drive to Siem Reap. This will be your base to explore the fabled temples of Angkor. Later in the day begin your discovery of Angkor with a visit to the Rolous temple complex, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Angkor during the 9th century. On Day 3, visit the vast walled city of Angkor Thom, entering through the South Gate. Explore the mysterious Bayon temple with its numerous faces, the terrace of the Elephants and the terrace of the Leper King. Later in the day, make your way to the hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng to enjoy sunset over the Cambodian countryside and reflect on your day’s adventure.

Day 5-7

Siem Reap - Angkor Complex

Kep Extension Travel to the relaxed seaside resort of Kep, only a couple of hours drive from the capital. You are sure to enjoy a pleasant stay and the opportunity to sample some delicious seafood. During your stay, you may wish to visit Rabbit Island, where you can relax on the beach or swim in the azure waters.

On Day 4, venture out to peaceful Mount Kulen to view the great reclining Buddha and the Shiva lingas which are intricately carved on the riverbed. Enjoy a tasty picnic lunch before continuing on to the beautiful temples of Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. The next morning is reserved for you to admire the majestic beauty of Angkor Wat. Your guide will give you a thorough commentary as you explore the site. Enjoy ample time to explore this awe-inspiring structure and reflect on the glories of the Kingdom of Angkor. In the afternoon pay a visit to jungle covered Ta Prohm and the temple of Banteay Kdei. On Day 6, visit the silk farm at Pok and learn about the production of this valuable fabric. Later on in the morning, visit the informative and sobering Land Mine museum and in the afternoon visit Wat Bo before exploring the old market in Siem Reap. Day 7 is at leisure until you are transferred to the airport for onward travel.
