MAXIMILIAN VON REDEN BECOMES NEW GENERAL MANAGER AT SCHWEIZERHOF BERN Bern, 11 March 2019 – The 45-year-old will take over the management of the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA from Iris Flückiger on 5 August 2019, who after more than eight years at the Schweizerhof Bern takes up a new job abroad. Before moving to the capital city of Switzerland, Maximilian von Reden led the 5-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Prague as General Manager. His professional career took him all over Asia And worked at the Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta as General Manager and was responsible for the Mandarin Oriental in Tokyo and The Portmann Ritz-Carlton business operations in Shanghai. In addition to successfully leading he has many years of management experience in the area of high quality city hotels gastronomy. So he was responsible for the gastronomy operations in Mandarin Oriental Bangkok and The Peninsula in Beijing. Maximilian von Reden is a German citizen and a graduate of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne. Maximilian von Reden joins the position as General Manager of the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern & THE SPA on 5 August 2019 on. Former General Manager Iris Flückiger will remain with the company until August 23, 2019 and accompanies the transfer process.
