Make the most

of your day

Information for

parents and carers Lots of students come to Open Days with their families. Having a second pair of eyes and ears can be really helpful on such a busy day. You are welcome to attend many of the events in the programme but sometimes if a room is full and students might miss out, we will ask you to give up your place.

Here are some suggestions for making the most of the day: •

We would advise starting your visit with our Welcome and Student Experience presentation. This will give you good all-round advice and set you up for the rest of the day.

Make sure you visit the relevant stands. Here you can meet the teams from each area and ask them more about our courses. We also hold tours of the facilities throughout the day.

Take some time before the event to think of the parts of University that are important to you, and any questions you might want to ask. Make sure you take the time to visit our Accommodation, Fees and Finance, and Student Wellbeing stands as well.

If you have any concerns on your day, speak to a Student Ambassador who can point you in the right direction, or visit the Registration stand to speak to a member of Events staff.

Accommodation Our accommodation team will be able to talk you through the options available, and answer any questions that you may have.

Fees and

Finance Everything at Bucks is tailored to meet the needs and ambitions of our students. Our fees reflect the teaching and support costs of delivering a first class educational experience for everyone. Staff from the Student Centre are available at the Fees and Finance stand for any questions you have about university finance.
