Our practice groups offer lunch and learn programs to tap into the in-depth knowledge and experience we have at

the firm, and external experts or clients are invited to present the latest industry updates. Business Development Coaching Business development resources are available to optimize efforts when pitching services to clients, establishing client relationships and building long-term client satisfaction. Buchanan’s business development team assists with individual and practice group business planning, client targeting, industry research and conducts customized programs to help attorneys sharpen their skills to capitalize on high-impact business opportunities.

Continuing Legal Education

Mentoring

The firm is an approved in-house CLE provider, which gives attorneys the flexibility of meeting requirements without leaving the office. Our professional development team assists attorneys with maintaining their compliance in all jurisdictions where they are licensed. In addition to in-house opportunities, we have relationships with other CLE providers such as the Practicing Law Institute, Cognistar, NITA and ALI-ABA In-House.

We sincerely believe in the power of mentoring and have created a formal Mentor Program. Our attorneys work collaboratively to share resources and experience to enhance every participant’s skills and talents. Experience is the best teacher, and sharing one’s experience with a colleague is an excellent way to build relationships and foster an environment that values learning. We are so passionate about mentoring that we assign mentors to every first-year associate— and some sections have even implemented their own additional adviser programs.
