Trish Siedlik will begin her seventh season at the helm of the Bellevue University volleyball program in 2012 and has taken the Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament each of the past four seasons. Siedlik has a 180-62 (.743) record in six seasons at BU and a 304-83 (.785) career record in ten seasons as a collegiate head coach. The 2011 season marked the fifth-straight season Siedlik guided the Bruins to the NAIA National Tournament, claiming their fourth postseason title. Siedlik lead BU to an overall record of 27-9 and a final national ranking at No. 25. Siedlik’s goal at camps is for every camper to feel like they got better in some area of the sport. Being competitive is a great way to become a better player. Steve Field is in his fourth season on the Bruin volleyball coaching staff after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Nebraska at Omaha under head coach Rose Shires from 1989-2008, which included the 1996 NCAA Division II national championship and 10 NCAA Tournament appearances. Field's primary duties include training the Bruin setters, practice and game management, scouting, and video analysis. His philosophy for training setters involves teaching sound fundamentals regarding footwork, body posture, hand positioning and release, as well as decision making and leadership skills. Field believes setters must be leaders on and off the court and demonstrate a strong work ethic and desire to improve through practice, repetitions, and sacrifice.
