AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE

Ages 18+

Resident $75 / Non-Resident $85 Miller Center Art Room Sign language can broaden your communication skills, stimulate your senses, and increase your ability to be expressive. Great for new students, those who may need a refresher or want to move on to the next level. It could foster a career as an interpreter or speech language pathologist! • Level 1: Learn the basics • Level 2: Increase your vocabulary and sign sentences. Practice conversations with sign idioms, loan signs and other signing tools. • Level 3: This Continuing in ASL program focuses on greater use of sentence formation, aspects of deaf culture, new vocabulary, classifier signs, and more. Must be familiar with the alphabet, and have basic knowledge of vocabulary & numbers. Pre-requisites: ASL 1 & 2.
