Executive Director’s Letter Dear Bourbonnais Township Park District Residents: It’s that time of year when many of us dream of warmer days but winter brings its’ own special kind of beauty to Perry Farm. Try to visit the farm on a snowy winter morn and see nature untouched by human hands. It will bring out the kid in all of us! Please mark your calendars in anticipation of an exciting inaugural event! The Village of Bourbonnais and the park district in conjunction with Sweet Street will paint our quaint village “chocolate”. The tour will be designed so folks will visit a variety of businesses to experience chocolate treats and surprises on Saturday February 4th. Just in time for Valentine’s Day! Proceeds from this event will go toward the new skate park behind the Municipal Center. More info coming soon! Plans are underway for the renovation of Willowhaven Nature Center & Park. The district is anticipating completion by fall of 2017. This will include a 3.5 acre dog park, disc golf, paved trails, new shelters, amphitheatre, and outdoor fitness machines. The project is partially funded by a grant from IDNR (Illinois Department of Natural Resources). More information will be coming in the near future. This brochure contains many new programs, trips, and special events for all pages. Please let us know if there are events or programs you would like offered here at the district. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at Hollice@btpd.org or call 815-933-9905. Enjoy the winter season in our wonderful community. Hollice Clark III, Executive Director
