National Hockey Center • St. Cloud, Minn. • November 6, 2010 • 7:07 p.m. Bemidji State notables: uBemidji State’s Jordan George posted the 10th multi-point game of his career and first of 2010-11 with a goal and two assists in last night’s loss. He has now logged seven career multi-assists outings and has posted 17-23=40 points in just 41 collegaite games. uDespite falling to St. Cloud State last night, 6-3, BSU still owns a 43-37-3 lead in the all-time series, however the Huskies are 12-1-0 versus BSU since 1999 and 20-17-2 when hosting the Beavers. uBSU is now 5-29-3 on Olympic ice since making the jump to the NCAA Division I level for the 1999-2000 campaign. uSaturday’s contests stands as the 100th for senior Ian Lowe. Since beginning his career at BSU, Lowe has recorded 26-30=56 points including 1-5=5 through five games of this season. He sits tops among his teammates with four helpers in 2010-11. uSophomore forward Jordan George now leads the team with six points (4-2=6) and has scored a goal in four of the Beavers’ first five games. He ranks 15th in the country on the goals per game list (0.80). uNo BSU player has had more success versus the Huskies than Matt Read. In five career games agasint SCSU Read now has 2-4=6 points and has posted a pair of multi-point efforts. uWith an assist last night, Matt Read climbed one helper closer to the BSU Division I-era mark for career assists (67). He currently ranks third behind Andrew Murray (2001-05) and Luke Erickson (2003-07) who share the top spot with 69. Brad Hunt also scaled the assist list moving from ninth into a tie with Marty Goulet (199903), Riley Riddell (2001-03) and Rob Sirianni (2003-07) for sixth on the list. uMatt Read potted his 46 career goal last night to surpass former teammate Tyler Scofield (2005-09) and match BSU great Andrew Murray (2001-05) for sixth on the Beavers’ Division I-era goal scoring list. He is just one goal from Marty Goulet and fifth place on the list (47). uWith 113 points (46-67=113) Matt Read sits alone in third place on BSU’ Division I scoring list. He sits just two points behind Andrew Murray (2001-05) who logged 46-69=115 points as a Beaver before moving on to the NHL. Read is not tied for 33rd on BSU’s all-time scoring list. uThe Beavers’ top line of Jordan George, Matt Read and Ian Lowe have combined for 57 percent of BSU’s total scoring (16 pts), eight of 10 goals (80%) and eight of 18 assists (44%). Last night the trio teamed up for all three goals and three assists. uWith an assist in last night’s game versus the Huskies, BSU freshman Sam Rendle officially logged his name in the collegiate scoring column. He is the first of BSU’s freshman to post a point as a Beaver. uRookies Jeff Jubinville, Radoslav Illo, Anton Racklin and Garrett Ladd are all still in search of their first collegiate points. Veterans Matt Carlson (0-1=1), Drew Fisher (0-4=4) and Jake Areshenko (0-4=4) are also looking for their first collegiate goals. uSince stepping on campus in the fall of 2007, Matt Read has a plus/minus rating of +56 and the Beavers are 31-9-1 when he scores a goal and were 14-2-0 last season. uBemidji State has been out shot 179-110 this season and has yet to post more shots than its opponent in any of its first five games. uAllowing six goals in last night’s contest, BSU has now asuffered fiver-or-more goals three times this season. Allowing an average of four goals per game, BSU’s defense is ranked 50th in the nation.
