Our “4 Vineyards” project was initiated by a group of friends to promote a selection of Italian wineries of excellence on international markets. The aim of the enterprise is to optimize resources, to offer importers and distributors quick and prompt service. “4 Vineyards” identifies neither a product nor a company, but is more the expression of the desire by four entrepreneurs from the wine world to join forces to obtain an efficient business model. The businessmen united under the “4 Vineyards” brand name share the same production and commercial philosophy, maintaining their own independence, but under the management of a single commercial director, Elena Ercole, Brand Manager and owner of the “4 Vineyards” trademark.

On the strength of over twenty years’ commercial experience in the wine sector, Elena Ercole manages the single offices, facilitating communications with each member of the Group and optimizing logistic flows to the benefit of the commercial Partners.

“4 Vineyards” represents an opportunity for each of the partners to greatly improve their business organization, commercial development and operational efficiency.

We convey continuity to our family's name and consolidate that history by working together as a team to produce wines that reflect values of elegance, authenticity and culture in an ethical and responsible way.

WINERY SINCE 1853 The Ciavolich family boasts an antique winegrowing tradition. At the top of the town of Miglianico (Ch), opposite the Church of San Pantaleone, it is still possible to admire the structure of the old winery founded by Francesco Ciavolich in 1853, which has been converted into a modern winebar for tasting the estate’s products. It was operational until 1944, the year in which the living quarters on the upper floor were used as the headquarters of the German Command during its withdrawal and the underground room offered Giuseppe Ciavolich and several local families protection against the bombings. The high quality of the wines made is the result of the extensive commitment to the cultivation of the vineyards, the selection of the best grapes and the choice of modern vinifcation techniques.

Three generations have handed down the precious art of wine-making born from a love for their land and their roots .

THE TRADITION In the hills of Soave the vine-grower, Gino Magnabosco, together with his family, carry on this very passion that traditions have handed down. Just like skilled craftsmen, they carefully and conscientiously follow all the production phases: from the wine to the bottle. They are attentive to any new improvement in grape-producing technology in order to guarantee wine of the best quality at all times to represent the area in which it is produced.

THE ESTATES Twenty-five hectares of vineyards are situated on the best plots that the Soave zone can offer: Monte Tenda, Monte Foscarino and Monte Tondo, from which the vineyard takes its name, ensure that the wine produced has an intense perfume, a bouquet ranging from floral to fruity with an unmistakeable flavour, difficult to forget. The cultivation of the vines, in trellis-work or in guyot style, allow the grapes, mainly Garganega and Trebbiano of Soave, to grow to their best advantage, and, thanks to the volcanic soil typical of the zone, features of the white grapes are consequently intensified. The fruit is chosen carefully and only the best is selected to make the vineyard’s most prestigious wines.

Passion, commitment and determination We see in this way all of our wines, respecting the earth and the dominion.

WINERY SINCE 1986 In the heart of the Langhe district, in the Ornati area of Monforte d'Alba, Tenuta Rocca is an estate with 37.06 acres (15 hectares) of vineyards. From 1986, it was managed by brothers Bruno and Gianni, who constantly modernized the vineyards over the years, and since 2011 Gianni and his son Andrea, graduate winemaker, have taken over management of the estate. The large farmhouse dating back to the eighteenth century has been restored to its original splendour following meticulous architectural refurbishment. The creation of the modern cellar with underground rooms for optimal development and ageing of wines confirms the commitment, passion and determination with which the wine production that symbolizes the Alba area of the Langhe district is conceived. In order to compete at the very highest levels of quality, being fully aware of the goals already achieved by the estate and those to which it still aspires, it cooperates with the agronomist Gian Piero Romana, and the oenologist Piero Ballario.

Since 1028. A History of Tradition and Innovation, Passion and Perseverance, Art and Culture.

WINERY SINCE 1028 The Torre Fornello story begins in 1028 when the Sanseverino, one of the most distinguished families in Italy at the time, constructed a defence tower near a kiln (a furnace, in Italian “fornello). The fortification was subsequently expanded to include a small chapel, a cowshed, a barn, stables and cellars. Torre Fornello is part of the territory of Piacenza within the Colli Piacentini (Piacentine Hills), situated in the extreme northwest of the Emilia Romagna region. It is an area known for its captivating landscapes, rich in history and culture, the latter being reflected in the wines that are one of its keynote manifestations. Grape cultivation was historically present in the Piacentine territory between 2000-700 B.C., continuing throughout the Roman Era, the Middle Ages and the Austrian and Napoleonic periods straight through to today. In 1998 Enrico Sgorbati initiated the new era at Torre Fornello, renovating the historic family firm and continuing the same specialized cultivation of the vineyards that had been practiced for generations. Today Enrico cultivates the vineyards with an eye to the original territory, combining tradition and innovation.

THE ESTATE The vineyards today cover an area of 60 hectares at an altitude of 200 m., on the hills situated in the most north western point of the Emilia Romagna region known as Colli Piacentini, in northern Italy. Torre Fornello is specialized in the production of sparkling wines (lively and spumante), aromatic grapes, and native whites and reds, with 13 of its 60 hectares devoted to the cultivation of organic grapes.
