Description [a] Pile Foundations [b] Structural Cores [c] In-Situ Concrete Structure [d] Structual Steelwork 400 tonnes of steelwork forms the structure which tiers from Level 3 up to Level 6. The steelwork commences with 5 steel trusses being installed over the concert hall. These trusses form the ‘lid’ to the concert hall and allow a further 4 levels of structure to be constructed above. The vast majority of the steelwork arrived on site having been painted with an intumescent paint. This specialist coating will protect the steelwork for over 90mins should the building ever be subjected to a fire.
