Hands up if you have heard any variation of those, “I travelled “Africa” and it sucked” stories? More often than not, the complaints raised by the storyteller are due to their own illpreparedness for an adventure outside of SA’s borders. I have yet to meet a traveler who had intentionally set out to discover the richness of our continent and African people and not had an experience of a lifetime.
