Georgia Institute of Technology Progress and Service Award What is the Progress and Service Award? The Georgia Institute of Technology Progress and Service Award was established by the Student Government Association to acknowledge students who have made a significant impact on the Tech community. This distinction recognizes undergraduate students who most portray the ideals of Progress and Service in their Georgia Tech careers. This award, which includes a stipend of $1000 each, will be granted to two undergraduate students and will be presented to the recipients at the annual Up with the White and Gold on April 28, 2011. Who is eligible for this award? Any undergraduate student in good academic standing will be eligible for the award. The student may not be a member of any branch of the Student Government Association. In order to be considered for this award, the applicant must complete and return the attached application. The SGA Academic Affairs Board will interview select finalists before making a final selection. When is the application due? The application is due on April 1, 2011 at 5PM and may be turned in to the SGA office located in the Student Center Commons. When are interviews? Interviews will be conducted during the week of April 11-15. If you are chosen as a finalist, you will be invited to an interview with the SGA Academic Affairs Committee during this time. When will I be notified about the status of my application? Final recipients will be announced by April 21, 2011 and the award will be presented at the Up with the White and Gold on April 28, 2011.
