COURSE DATES 2012

• Summer Course 1 runs from 3rd - 17th July. • Summer Course 2 runs from 17th - 31st July. • All courses run for two weeks. Students are split into two categories: Juniors (for pupils aged 8-12 years old) and Teens (aged 13-17). • The cost of the two week course is £1700 (for group prices please contact us). • The fee includes: • All residential accommodation • Meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner plus morning, afternoon and evening snack) • Intensive English tuition • WiFi access • Medical supervision from Bromsgrove School Health Centre • Extra-curricular activities/sports and full use of all of the School’s sports facilities during free time • Four full-day excursions/trips (Oxford, London, Drayton Manor Theme Park and Warwick/Stratford) each fortnight • One half-day trip (Birmingham) each fortnight • A full programme of exciting evening activities and outings • Transport to/from Birmingham or Heathrow Airports.

Accommodation in three newly refurbished Boarding Houses, situated on site. Single, twin, triple and four-bed rooms available. Majority of rooms with en-suite. Common Room, small kitchen and payphone in each House. Daily laundry service. Bromsgrove School staff resident in each House.

CATERING

• Three wholesome meals per day, plus snacks. • Spacious dining room with a daily choice of soup, main courses, pasta bar, salad bar and desserts. • Packed lunches for any full-day excursions.

BROMSGROVE TOWN

• A medieval market town, mentioned in the Doomsday Book, with a population of just under 30,000 residents. • Ideally located for local travel to/from the city of Birmingham (30 minutes drive). • Home for many years to the “Bromsgrove Guild”, renowned for producing the Buckingham Palace Gates. Also home to Poet A. E. Housman who was a pupil at Bromsgrove School.

Qualified Teachers, recruited and trained by International House Bristol. Placement test on application and arrival. Average 14 students per class. 15 hours’ intensive English tuition per week (to include presentation skills). Attendance Certificate and Progress Report.

DAYTIME ACTIVITIES • • • • •

Full integration with British Day Pupils for activities. Organised and supervised by Bromsgrove School staff. A variety of on-site sports available everyday. State of the Art Sports Arena, Gym and Coffee Shop on site. EVENING ACTIVITIES

• Organised and supervised by Bromsgrove School staff. • A variety of on and off-site events every week including Staff and Student Talent Show, DVD Nights, Sports Tournaments, Bowling, Cinema trips, Disco and Karaoke. The evening activities may be subject to change at any time.

TRIPS AND EXCURSIONS

• Classroom preparation with information and task sheets. • Organised and supervised by Bromsgrove School staff. • Four full-day excursions to; • London - Bus tour of major sites • Oxford - Walking tour of Oxford including its Colleges • Warwick and Stratford - including entrance fee to the Castle and sight-seeing tour of Shakespeare’s Birthplace. • Drayton Manor Theme Park • Plus one half-day Shopping Trip to Birmingham, visiting The Bullring, one of Europe’s largest city centre shopping centres.
