Banking and Football - Corner Stones of the UK Economy

The Lower Sixth trip to London involved a mix of entertainment and education. Thirtyseven pupils started their day with a visit to Chelsea Football Club where they discovered the financial details for a typical match day and looked at key principals behind the club’s branding, sponsorship, merchandising and pricing strategies. They enjoyed a tour of the club including the press room, the players’ tunnel and the pitch. Pupils then went on to the Bank of England, where they advanced their understanding of the Bank’s role in financial stability.
