live at Castlewigg Farm where we run about 90 Pedigree Simmental cows, 3 of which are part of my Castlewigg Simmental herd I got to pick a heifer for my 13th Birthday to start my herd. I’m currently sitting my Highers and hope to then go on and study agriculture. I enjoy being a Simmental young member, going on trips to look at other people’s herds. Meeting other young members and making new friends I enjoyed going to the Young Show Stars in Malvern representing the Simmental society and also going to show and sales, I can see a future in the Simmental breed they are a pleasure to work with, docile, excellent mums and do the job from a bag of milk not a bag of feed.
