irect sales and supply (via the Barneveld warehouse) to the UK dealer network commenced in 2015 and things shifted up a gear in September 2017 with the establishment of Powersports Distribution Group (PDG). Hoco Parts BV joined PDG and grew rapidly thanks to an active buy-and-build strategy which saw the acquisition and integration of several companies. Benefiting from the combined knowledge, people, and distributed products of these companies, Hoco Parts BV increased its offering and service level to the motorcycle trade, the UK market getting its fair share of attention in this process. Two years after the establishment of PDG, Hoco Parts BV stepped across the North Sea, purchasing both Bradbury Bros. and Rob Hunter in November 2019 prior to establishing Hoco Parts UK Ltd. in Huddersfield in 2020. The acquisitive streak didn’t end there, with Neo Distribution (Putoline UK) and more recently B&C Express all becoming members of the Hoco Parts family. The way in which Hoco Parts has done it though, combines the traditionally operated UK motorcycle industry with the benefits of modern systems and technology. Country manager for Hoco Parts UK is Mark Fenwick (above), previous owner of
B&C Express, whom many of you will know. He began in the automotive industry where he was an aftersales manager for Vauxhall before moving to EMAP, now part of the Bauer Media Group. At Bauer he acted as key accounts manager working across all media platforms with the motorcycle portfolio, which included Motor Cycle News, Bike, RiDE, Performance Bikes and Classic Bike. Fenwick then moved to B&C in 2006 as company manager. As you would imagine, it has taken Hoco Parts UK some time to get everything in place: personnel, products, and premises. Key staff came with the company acquisitions, as did a good number of the product ranges. Obviously not all of the Hoco Parts product portfolio was transferable, with Hoco Parts respecting existing exclusive UK distributor agreements. The new premises took a bit of finding to get the right size and location. Located in Huddersfield, the new warehouse virtually sits on the M62, which gives easy access to the entire UK market.
