cycleways & walkways — FREEDOM ON TWO WHEELS OR TWO LEGS —

Snaking for more than 1 200 km you can cycle, stroll, jog or rollerblade your way all over Brisbane and beyond. Brisbane is truly a foot friendly city and now with a convenient city-cycle hire scheme it is even easier to get around and explore the inner city suburbs. It isn’t just the inner city that is blessed with accessibility. One of the best ways to explore Brisbane’s bayside suburbs from Redcliffe to Redland Bay is on foot or peddle power. There’s a ride for everyone in the Moreton Bay and Islands region, from gently meandering foreshore cycleways, to more challenging road rides exploring the mainland and islands. Top spots include the Scarborough to Woody Point, the Wynnum Manly Esplanades, Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island and Mount Cotton in the hinterland. Just an hour west of Brisbane the Scenic Rim is home to eight National Parks, each with a variety of walking tracks that suit beginners right through to professional bushwalkers.
