Seine Flotte von Segel- und Motorbooten ist verblüffend zweckmäßig, konzeptionell bemerkenswert und notorisch andersartig und hat die konservative Yachtbranche von Grund auf revolutioniert. Denn Bassani hat ein untrügliches Gespür dafür, was Leute, die bereits alles haben, demnächst brauchen: Alle unnötige Aufbauten oder Leinen sind von Deck verschwunden. Die Boote sind außerordentlich breit und bieten viel Platz unter Deck. Typisch für die Wally-Yachten ist das so genannte Flush-Deck, bei dem dank per Knopfdruck versenkbarer Aufbauten unnötige Stolperfallen bewusst vermieden werden. Bassani vereint ultra-puristisches Design mit technischer Innovation und hoher Bequemlichkeit. Vorbei die Zeit von dunklem Teak, Mahagoni und maritimen Verzierungen aus Messing. An Bord der Wally, Esense oder Mystère sorgen Star-Architekten wie Odile Decq für ein edles Desig-

ner-Ambiente – und die Ingenieure für genug High Tech, damit sich die Eigner auch auf hoher See nicht mit einer großen Mannschaft belasten müssen.

Futuristisch, überirdisch, die Wally Power 118 sieht aus wie ein computer-animierter Traum aus einem Batman-Film. Doch die schwarz schimmernde Hochgeschwindigkeits-Luxusyacht, die an ein Schiff mit Stealth-Eigenschaften erinnert, ist absolut real und einmalig. Sämtliche für ein Boot dieser Größe notwendige Deckaufbauten wurden unter Verkleidungen versteckt, so z. B. die beiden Radare und die GPS-Antenne. Helle Teakholz-Böden bilden einen scharfen Kontrast zum dunklen Rumpf und den schwarzen Rauchglas-Scheiben, die einen Großteil der Außenfläche der Kabine ausmachen. Unter Deck gibt es eine große Eignerkabine und zwei großzügige ebenfalls fensterlose Gästekabinen.

Dachluken aus Milchglas und Prismen sorgen für Tageslicht. Zwei Kajüten mit je drei Kojen beherbergen die Besatzung. Ihr Preis liegt bei EUR 14 Millionen (in der Variante mit drei × 4.000-PS-Dieselmotoren) bzw. EUR 20 Millionen (in der Variante mit drei Gasturbinen).
